6 Ridiculous Roast Chickpea Recipes; Your New Favourite Snack

Let me start this post off with a little good news, bad news.

The bad news is you're never allowed to buy Pringles or Doritos any more. Sorry. Read the labels. The ingredients aren't all food. It's a shame, I know. But once you pop, you'll feel sick in 30 minutes time.

The good news is you can make healthy replicas at home. That nacho cheese flavour can be applied to plant based proteins like nuts or chickpeas. For recipes on the former, go here. For recipes on the latter, keep reading.

The method will be the same with all of these so let's get that down first.

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 170C (340F)
  2. Rinse and drain the chickpeas
  3. Pat them down dry with paper towels
  4. Add all of the ingredients to a salad bowl and toss until coated
  5. Line a tray with baking paper and spread out your ingredients
  6. Let them cook for roughly 40 minutes

The flavour combos are absolutely endless. For inspiration, use Google or Pinterest. Or make a rare trip down the Doritos and Pringles aisle and steal flavour ideas. Here's our 5:
