No one likes to get sick. I got taken down the last time I went to New York in the middle of winter. I don't blame Mother Nature though. I blame travelling without my blender or my Forever Young. And not packing enough warm clothes. And potentially replacing greens with bagels.
When you feel the early onset of a cold, you have to act. Fast. Your body is trying to tell you something.
Hey champ, I'm not feeling too great. You know how you've been eating crap lately, working too hard and not sleeping? Well, that's no bueno for me my friend. So either eat some seriously healthy food and go to sleep early or I'll be keeping your @ss in bed for a week.
Oh, and by the way, you've seen most the stuff on Netflix that interests you so don't think a week in bed is a holiday. You're going to HATE it!
Ok, champ, point taken. Vitamin C, ginger and honey it is. Strengthen the immune system and try knock that virus on the head.
And if I'm feeling brave, a big hit of apple cider vinegar.
Cold Killer Recipe
- Takes 4 minutes
- Makes 1 serving (hit this up two or three times in a day)
- Lemon, peeled - 1
- Ginger, peeled - 2 inches
- Coconut water - 1 cup
- Raw honey - 1 tablespoon
- Forever Young - 1 teaspoon
- Blend until the chunks disappear
- Knock down a shot of apple cider vinegar
